KT Care Foundation is a charitable organization which has been set up primarily to aid the people of Myanmar.
 Following the tragic Cyclone Nargis our ‘Nargis Disaster Fund’ was initiated to provide relief for victims of the disaster. The initial response to this appeal has been very encouraging; however this has only met some of the basic necessities for the victims.
KT Care Foundation will work with its resources on the ground in Myanmar and global network of support to help rebuild the lives of the people of Myanmar. Our initial efforts shall focus on a town, Thet Kal Thaung and its surrounding villages. At present our relief efforts involve supplying food provisions till the next rice crop harvested and milled in December. We shall also be supplying machinery and other goods required to plant the (rice) paddy fields to replace the goods and infrastructure that was lost during the cyclone.
A strategic long-term plan that includes reconstruction and development of houses, local schools, clinics, infrastructure as well as providing micro financing to the people is in place to improve the future for the victims. Working together we shall ensure a positive lasting change in a country that has been hard hit by the disaster.
